Karlsruhe, 1 August 2019. The new management team of PTV’s (PTV Planung Transport Verkehr AG), Karlsruhe, is complete: On 1 September Klaus Peter Lechner will start as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Dr. Peter Overmann commences as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) today and also serves as interim CEO. The newly appointed CEO will start by 1 February 2020 and thus completes the PTV management team.
Lechner looks back on two decades as CFO and managing director of various companies. With a degree from Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Management Koblenz (“WHU”) he joined the Mannesmann group and built one of the first fully integrated European telecommunications providers in Austria serving as its CFO. Following stages at Deutsche Telekom and British Telecom respectively he became member of the executive board of Navigon AG. In his most recent role Lechner served as executive board member of adviqo AG, a Berlin based provider of consultancy services.
Philipp von Hagen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PTV: “The appointment of the new management team on the basis of a thorough selection process has the primary objective of accelerating the growth of PTV in the areas of intelligent software solutions for connected cities and mobility. Being the world market leader in software for transportation logistics and traffic planning PTV is ideally positioned for this move.”
After serving PTV for 30 years Vincent Kobesen stepped down as CEO, leaving the company as of 31 July at his own request. Philipp von Hagen: “We thank Vincent Kobesen for his long standing commitment and accomplishments. During his tenure PTV has grown dynamically to become a global market leader.”
